Do you need to beat elite four to trade from pokemon diamond to pearl?

If not, how do i do that? My brother and i both have a ds, and i have pearl and he has diamond. We need to evolve some pokemon, but neither of us has beaten the elite four.|||NO you dont need to. You can trade with your brother at any pokemon center upstairs. Talk to the lady next to the door you are going to enter. Say YES YES YES and go into the room. A person will drop from the top of your screen, not you. Talk to the person dropping from the top of your screen. Make sure both of you are close together for better communication. You will be given other options other than trade. Here you can battle, show trainer cards and even send over items attached to your pokemon.





If you brother lives somewhere else. You need to do a WIFI trade located downstairs of the Pokemon Center. To do this you need Friend Codes which you can get in your key items of your bag. Use the Pal Pad to enter each others FC and then go into the WIFI trade. You need to setup your WIFI connection to do this and connect to the GTS to trade with people all over the world.|||no you dont, i dont think there is anything you need to do, except have more then one pokemon|||You don't have to do anything, except having at least two Pokemon.|||No you don't, just go to the pokemon center (both of you) it doesn't have to be the same town, go upstairs and talk to the second lady. Basically you could trade as soon as you get to Sandgem Town through local wireless as long as you have 2 Pok茅mon however if you want to trade via Wi-Fi which is the online connection then you can only trade via Wi-Fi after you beat Roark, the Oreburgh City Gym Leader.





In order to trade via local wireless, both of you must go into the Union Room. It's upstairs in the Pok茅mon Center.
