What is more expensive an emerald or diamond?

Thanks I guess I was wrong I thought emerads were more expensive b/c I saw on T.V something that must have led me to think emeralds are more expensive. Anyways I thank you all for bringing the right answer. You can't win them all, right?

|||The truth is that the DeBeers company has more diamonds in possession than it can ever sell... They have also cornered the mining aspect of the diamond trade... therefore, they get to artificially decide the prices and worth of diamonds. That being said, emeralds are much rarer.
