What does the mark on my diamond ring mean?

I have a diamond ring that has the following stamped inside it:

14k with 585 underneath it (understand that means its gold content is 585 out of 1000)

then opposite of that there is a small symbol, it looks like an image if a diamond engagement ring, but drawn so that the ring portion resembles an open infinity sign, and then has a number underneath it "D045" Someone once told me the symbol may be a manufacturer's mark.. Any one have an idea as to who manufactured this ring?|||Yes, the European 585 is like the American 14k (both mean the metal is 58.5% gold purity).

Is there a small number inside your infinity sign? Scales surrounding a number are the sign of the common control mark used by signers to the Vienna Convention. The scales and number are set inside a specific shape to represent the three most common precious metals: two interwoven circles (like binocular sites) for gold, a diamond shape for platinum, and a rounded letter M with a flat top for silver. I'm thinking what you identified as an infinity sign could be the two interwoven circles symbolizing gold.

The "D045" is most likely a stock number, but I don't know which manufacturer would have produced it.
