What I mean by this is, if I put a diamond of the exact same color, clartiy, and cut gia certified diamond next to an egl certifies diamond, will they look the same? Or will the egl certified one look of a lesser quality?|||AGS and GIA are 2 of the most commonly used diamond grading labs in the world. The AGS and GIA have stricter standards so you know the diamond is exactly what they say it is! Diamonds are priced based on the perfection of the CUT, Color, clarity and Weight. Evaluating cut is the most important factor as an ideal cut hearts and arrows can give you high power fire in your diamond that is it may be more noticeable, whiter and look visually larger as it retains more of the light than a high color, clarity diamond with a bad cut. Here is a great description of what to expect out of a 鈥榗ertification鈥?
Good Luck!|||GIA is known to be one of the most well known, professional and "honest" graders in the industry. I.e. if your report says it is a certain cut, color, clarity etc you can bet that it is.
I do not know as much about EGL so I do not want to say anything incorrect but I do know that over the years, if I am going to spend the money and base my decisions on a grading report, I am going to choose GIA. They are the best and you know exactly what you are getting.|||yes, they will look the same. GIA certificates is the most popular for diamond appraise as well as the most professional. I will pprobablychoose a GIA certificated one
