Are there advantages to buying pink sapphire and diamond jewelry online?
Are there advantages to buying pink sapphire and diamond jewelry online? Which is the best online diamond stores that I get high quality jewelry?|||advantages? you can get better deals than local store but can't see the exact piece until you got it. bluenile, tiffany and kay are the top stores to buy quality diamond items|||There's no subsititude for the real deal - internet stores can't depict how the ring will look, exactly. They might even brighten up the image of the ring online to make it look better than what it is - buying from a physical diamond store also is safer because lots of internet jewlery stores are scams and will steal your money! There's no sub!|||the main advantage are
diract suplies to customers no intermideate shops...
you must know about the policies, return ,products, brand name etc...
same point in my mind..
but when i was go at

u satisfy by their services|||The advantage is that it usually costs less to shop online and you can comparison price shop for the same item to make sure you are getting the best deal. Jewelry Ninja usually has better prices than the big chain stores and you can shop at http://www.jewelryninja.com

Can you take a diamond from an engagement ring and have it cut into smaller diamonds for a wedding band?
I have my Grandma's 0.8 carat princess cut diamond from her engagement ring. It's beautiful. I'm wondering if I can have it cut down into smaller diamonds to be part of my wedding band? Is that possible?|||Princess cut diamonds didn't exist in your grandmother's time.
That said, yes, it can be cut down - but it will be very expensive. How about just trading it for the diamond band you want? It's just a rock after all.
OR - keep grandma's diamond and have it set into a lovely drop pendent for your wedding. Get married with a plain gold band. Then start saving for the diamond band you really want. For your 5th wedding anniversary, have a vow-renewal and use the new band as a symbol of your renewed vows.|||Yes but Hon what will happen is you will loose some carat weight/diamond material in the process so do NOT expect to end up with a total of 0.8 cts of smaller diamonds...it could be a far smaller total ct weight you end up with. It would also reduce the market value/appraisal on the stones by quite a bit.
I would leave Grandma's diamond AS IS and incorporate into another piece of jewelry- a pendant or a three stone past, present, and future ring.|||First, the cost of having it appraised for %26amp;/or re-cutting by a professional would negate any financial advantage. Secondly, the value of the stone would drastically diminish.
Three years ago, an old friend remarried and decided to combine multiple stones from various rings she had inherited into one ring for her wedding. What a disaster! Mold has to be specially made, stones didn't fit well and kept having to be secured, etc. A lot of money ($$$$) later, she hates her engagement ring!
Use the stone in another way ..... you'll be glad you did!
Congratulations and good luck|||It's not a good idea to cut an existing diamond. I understand the sentimentality of wanting to include your Grandmother's diamond into something for yourself. BUT, Don't we ladies always want bigger diamonds? I'd suggest having the diamond set separately and wearing it on a chain.|||no
well anythings possible but it wouldn't make sense to destroy a large diamond into smaller diamonds.
edit: wait a minute.... they didn't have princess cut until a few years ago. are you sure that's not an asscher or an old mine cut? highly valuable -don't cut old stones.|||Garnet Glitter is right. Really, it doesnt make much sense. You could have that diamond set on a pendant for a necklace or with other gems on a broach. And that way, you would create a family heirloom that you can pass down to a younger generation.|||It's possible, but you'd end up with tiny diamonds of less value and attractiveness.
If the diamond is beautiful, leave it alone. As someone else suggested, you could have it set into a pendant.|||i am confused

How do you cut a diamond, what tools do you use?
After the diamond is cut, how do you shape it to the various designs? ( I cannot find the appropriate category to list my inquiry.|||A jeweler/gemologist uses natural fracture planes in the mineral created by its atomic structure (crystal lattice).
These professionals use very basic tools - a metal hammer that knocks a face off of the crystal. When the man who was given the largest diamond in the world finally decided where to make his first cut (after almost two years of simply studying the raw diamond), he just used a metal hammer.
Naturally, there are new methods available, from direct diamond cutting with a special saw to using a laser to cut facets. But the hammer remains the best method, because it gives the natural luster and shape to the gemstone.
Jewelers will use a very fine-grit polishing wheel to finish off the new facet.|||Hi,

What are some good Grass or electric type pokemon on pokemon diamond?
Ive been playing pokemon diamond and have got my pokemon up to about level 35 and i have suddenly realized i don't have a electric or grass type pokemon. I don't particularly want to get a pokemon at about level 5 and raise it 30 levels. What are some good grass or electric type pokemon i can find around this level?|||Well I have both Pokemon Platinum and Pokemon Diamond. In Diamond I used a Luxray, Unfortunately, Luxray cannot be found in the wild, you have to evolve Luxio. Either you can get a Shinx and evolve it into Luxio, or just get a Luxio. Luxio can be found at Fuego Ironworks. It is north of Floaroma Town near Eterna Forest. It can be reached by surfing west on the stream on Route 205, and then north past Floaroma Town. It is located just outside of Fuego Ironworks, in the wild grass, but is uncommon. Luxray has high attack and special attack. Luxio evolves at Level 30.
I also got a Roserade for my Platinum Game. Roselia evolves by means of a Shiny Stone. Roselia can be found in Routes 208, 209, 210, 212, 221, 224, 229, and 230, Trophy Garden, and the Great Marsh, and is common. Roserade has high special attack and special defense.
Unfortunately these Pokemon will not be around your level. The level you want is a bit too much, except perhaps for Pokemon in Victory Road, so you'll still have to train them.
Hope I helped!|||There is no real way to get a good electric or grass type without leveling it up a bit. Besides, if you do, they'll be stronger then those you just caught in the wild. A good electric type is Shinx. It's a low-level, but it becomes powerful when it evolves into Luxio, and eventually Luxray. For a grass type, try finding a Roselia somewhere. It's evoled form, Roserade, is pretty good it terms of overall attack power. Roselia evolves into Roserade through the use of a Light Stone. THere are precious few stones like this one in the game, do think carefully before you use it!|||. . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . ________

What will happend if a diamond is heated at a temparature of 1200c?
what will happend after heated the diamond?|||Diamonds which had not been heated above about 1,200掳 C gave diamond diffraction patterns only, those which had been heated to 2,000掳 C gave graphite patterns only, and those which had been heated to about 1,600掳 C. gave both diamond and graphite patterns and also some extra spots not due to either diamond or graphite.|||we all know that diamond is a carbon compound. so if any carbon compound is heated beyond its melting point, it turns to pure carbon, just like the ashes left behind, after burning paper
Are we Indians taking steps to get back the prestigious Kohinoor diamond embedded in the British crown?
The above said diamond is a property of India. We should try to get back that priceless piece as we are not holding any such thing belonging to other countries.|||No, it is not Indian property.
It is sometimes claimed that it was the property of the Sikh nation. This is untrue. It was the property of A Sikh - Ranjit Singh - and briefly the property of his alleged son Daleep (his paternity was doubtful to say the least).
The diamond was handed over to the Britsh as part of the treaty that ended the First Sikh War - one of the few wars in India that the British neither started nor provoked.
And where did Ranjit get it? From Afghanistan. He intervened in the civil war in that country as three brothers contended for the throne. As part of his "rightful" share of the booty, he seized the Koh-i-noor by force.
So - if the British seizure of the Koh-i-noor is invalid as if formed part of the spoils of war, so the Sikh claim is also invalid FOR EXACTLY THE SAME REASON.
So; the diamond rightly belongs to the Afghans? Well, no. It had been there three generations, but was stolen from Persia by a man who set himself up as King of the Afghans.
So; it belongs in Persia? Well, no. Before then it had been in the Deccan.
The Koh-i-noor has a long and bloody history. It was seized by Babur the Mongol after the battle of Panipat in 1527. Before that it was seized by Aladdin when he overthrew the Rajah of Malwah in 1304. Yes, I did say Aladdin - though more properly his name was Allah-ud-din.
And so on.
Admittedly it was mined in the Golconda: but then there's been a lot of gold mined in South Africa and it doesn't all belong there.
For the last hundred and fifty years the Koh-i-noor has been in London. In that time no blood has been spilled over it, and it has been available for anyone who wishes to see it.
Let it stay where it is.|||First let me say that Britain thinks it still owns the world because of some divine right of empire even though their empire now is about the size of my desk. Anyways despite this they still have that arrogant colonial attitude and therefore won't ever think of giving anything back that they stole from all their colonies worldwide.
Secondly, there's a problem with returning this artifact to India, we don't seem to want to accept our own stuff back. When Vijay Mallya tried returning with Tipu Sultan's Sword/Dagger, he had to pay something like 3 times its value in duties and taxes to bring it home. The sad truth is our politicians are not bothered about something like national pride or prestige unless they can make a buck out of it.|||If that's the case, native Americans are owed something fierce. How about all the diamonds stolen from south africa?|||Do they ever give back something|||We most certainly are.|||no

What would an 86 karat diamond be worth?
In the movie "Snatch", an 86 carat diamond is stolen and while the gem is said to be valuable, and obviously would be, no one mentions it's actual worth in dollars or pounds as the case may be. I have a 2008 Diamond Back Response mountain bike that has new tubes, new rear v-brake, and new crank set. How much is it worth?|||In the plain Diamondback Response (not the Comp or Sport) BikePedia lists it selling new for $360. Bikes are like cars when it comes to depreciation. They go down in value very quickly. If you're selling it, most people either don't care or don't look at the new parts you installed. It would be like selling a 5 yr. old car with a rebuilt engine. You will be given other options other than trade. Here you can battle, show trainer cards and even send over items attached to your pokemon.
If you brother lives somewhere else. You need to do a WIFI trade located downstairs of the Pokemon Center. To do this you need Friend Codes which you can get in your key items of your bag. Use the Pal Pad to enter each others FC and then go into the WIFI trade. You need to setup your WIFI connection to do this and connect to the GTS to trade with people all over the world.|||no you dont, i dont think there is anything you need to do, except have more then one pokemon|||You don't have to do anything, except having at least two Pokemon.|||No you don't, just go to the pokemon center (both of you) it doesn't have to be the same town, go upstairs and talk to the second lady. She will send you to a room after she saves your game. When both of you enter the room walk over to your brother and press A. One of you will be given the option to trade. Select it and then select your pokemon. You can do this as soon as your pokemon center is avalible. I think you might need one gym badge. If you can't figure it out once you are in the room, there is another person to talk to, next to the back wall.|||First off in order to trade between Diamond and Pearl through local wireless you just need the first Dex you get and at least 2 Pok茅mon. Basically you could trade as soon as you get to Sandgem Town through local wireless as long as you have 2 Pok茅mon however if you want to trade via Wi-Fi which is the online connection then you can only trade via Wi-Fi after you beat Roark, the Oreburgh City Gym Leader.

Would a tear drop cut diamond be a bad idea for an engagement ring?
I really like the cut of a tear drop diamond, its more unique and still looks elegant. However, I suddenly started thinking that maybe people will be @$$es about the cut and say something about it being bad luck. Whats your opinion?|||My e-ring for my first marriage was a one carat pear...or teardrop as you call it.
There is no such thing as 'bad luck' as far as objects bringing luck of any kind is concerned....my marriage ended because of other issues and none of them had to do with my e-ring being a pear shaped diamond.
Call it a 'teardrop' shed for joy and happiness.
It's a lovely cut....ignore the '@$$es.|||One of my favorite kind of engagement rings is cut like that, then surrounded in smaller diamonds. I also know someone whose engagement/wedding ring is that cut, and I didn't even think about it!

If you already have the diamond, how much does it cost to get it placed into a ring setting?
This is not for me, just cuious. I know it varies by the ring/setting you choose. Let's say either a silver or white gold ring, simple. You buy the ring and have the jeweler take your diamond and put it in the ring. How much would that cost?|||This all depends on the vendor. When we were looking at settings, some places had a $100 setting fee, others up to $400 setting fees. Some places also make you sign a waiver saying that they are not responsible for any damage that may happen to the stone while they are setting it. This is typically not a problem with diamonds because they are so hard, but can be a problem with other stones. A friend of mine bought a ruby online and had it set locally. The first ruby she bought shattered when they tried to set it! So, I'd be very careful if using a stone other than a diamond.|||It really just depends. A setting can cost anything and if you buy the setting there, they usually put the ring in for free. If you buy it somewhere else, and get a different jeweler to mount it, it depends on the difficulty of the mounting.
For example a cathedral setting is much more difficult b/c the diamond is completely surrounded. It costs more to set a 6 prong than a 4 prong. Then of course jewelers have an extreme markup on their work so it's going to cost 8 times more at Tiffany's than at a normal jeweler. So really it can be anything from like $50 to several hundred.|||If you've bought the setting and have the diamond and are having the jeweler set it, they'll have to give you a 'break out' price. Which is when they estimate how much it will cost to break out the head/prongs and adjust them to the new diamond. It also depends on the setting and how easy it is to maneuver around it. When I worked at a jewelry store, we were always having women bring in their stones to have set in a new setting and normally it wasn't expensive at all! I think the most I've seen was around $200 and that was for something that happened because the ring had a crack in it, he had to fix the gold setting before he could set the stone. But you would have to bring your diamond and the mounting into the jeweler and have them take a look at it to get a good estimate.

How do you calculate the volume of a diamond?
The density of pure diamond is 3.5 g/cm3. The mass of a diamond is 0.25 grams. Calculate its volume.|||Density = Mass/ Volume.
Therefore Volume = Mass/ Density. So 0.25 grams/3.5 g/cm3 = 0.07 cm3.
Its volume is 0.07 cm3.
Hope this helps.

What do the letters ADL 14k mean in reference to a diamond ring?
My friend found an old ring of his mothers and was wondering what ADL meant..maybe something to do with the diamond itself?|||hmmm... i'm not 100% sure but usually reputable jewelry stores engrave the inside of the bands. ADL would stand for the store (if im correct) and the 14k has to do with the ring (purity of gold), not the diamond|||ADL is the hallmark of the manufacturer - it has nothing to do with the stone(s)

How do you clean fake diamond stud earring?
It's sterling silver diamond stud. Iwant to know how i can clean this? are there solution make this shiny again?|||For the silver setting, you can use plain old standard silver polish from a grocery store. The paste kind is a bit of a pain with delicate pieces, but you can get cloth that has the polish built right in and you just rub it carefully over the silver. It works perfectly, though it can be a little fiddly to get around a small or ornate setting. There is also a foamy type of silver polish that you might want to try, but I don't personally like it that much (I use the cloth, much neater and quicker).
For the stone, get yourself a small, soft toothbrush. It can be a cheap one, a child's one is ideal because it's small. Does a diamond ring appreciate in value from the time it was purchased?
I am interested in selling a diamond ring that I purchased 4 years ago. Does the diamond appreciate in value over time? If the ring is kept in excellent condition, would it now be worth the same amount (or more)?
Thanks in advance, I really appreciate it!|||This is a bit "tricky" to answer.
In truth, YES...A Diamond Ring purchased (4) Years ago will have gone up in value if still in new shape, HOWEVER.....
If you were to sell it, you most likely would not get what you paid into it.
REASONS:
1) Average Mark-Up on Retail Jewelry is 400%.
2) Most places that "buy" jewelry pay 20 cents on the Dollar
3) The Diamond Price Market has only gone up around 10% in the last (4) Years
4) Although the Gold Market has increased sharply, a Ring usually only contain 4-7 grams of metal. Not enough to warrant a sharp price increase.
The reason I say "YES" is that if you were to go to the same store and "re-buy" you ring, you would pay more based on these aspects.|||it loses some of its value|||Not an appraise but probably worth the same...depends on cut and if blemish free|||I assume you bought it Retail.

What are you ladies opinions of how people will react when his fiance shows other people her ring?|||i think that if he knows she'll love it then that's all that matters, i think not going with a diamond is a more personal ring, i think other people the lucky gal shows will love the ring. Mostly because its not about the ring it's the fact that she is happy|||Lots of people choose other gemstones for engagement rings. It's even more common outside the U.S. Sometimes it's about the money, other times it's an opportunity to be unique. Jessica Simpson had a ruby on her engagement ring. Lady Diana, Kate Middleton, and Penelope Cruz all had sapphire engagement rings!
What worries me is the silver band. Silver is a very soft metal and most respectable jewelers will NOT set quality stones in silver. Otherwise, the setting will get loose and the stone could fall out. Silver is also prone to tarnishing and discoloration.|||I think a sapphire ring is darling. Blue and silver look REALLY nice together. Prince Charles proposed to Diana with a sapphire ring and Prince William used that same ring to propose to Kate. Tell your friend to tell his girl that he went with that ring because she is his Princess or Queen (whichever title he chooses).
I really think that she will not think that it is cheap as some here have suggested. There are some women who aren't diamond hounds, some of us look at the sentiment BEHIND the gift. I wish your friend lots of success and happiness.|||Gorgeous! Classy! Unique. Sapphire rings are stunning. Also, while a diamond typically denotes love, a sapphire has healing qualities. It is said to bring financial gain to it's wearers and protect them in health. If he looks for a sapphire with small diamonds present too it could be even more meaningful because he is presenting her with a ring that represents love and health.|||There are two schools of thought here. One is that you should buy a ring that your fiance will love, and maybe they love sapphires. That being said, I think an engagement ring should have a diamond in it.
Some people think that diamonds are too expensive, but that's not true. Take a look at a site like http://adiamor.com and you'll find plenty of options for every budget.
Finding and buying a diamond engagement ring online is the best way to go and will save you lots of money in the long run. Tell your friend to take a look at their diamonds before they make a final decision http://www.adiamor.com/advanced_diamond_鈥?/a>
Good luck!|||My ring is diamond but I was seriously looking into sapphires. I love them! They are so beautiful %26amp; I love the deep blue color. My fiance is more traditional than I am about things like e-rings %26amp; our wedding but he has agreed to compromise %26amp; so now I get to have a small pave band of sapphires as my wedding ring. I am looking forward to it!
I think a solitaire sapphire sounds lovely! I bet she will love it! Who cares how other people will react? But I seriously doubt anyone will think bad things, I know if I saw it I would love it and say so|||I agree, it sounds kinda cheap. I would personally recommend something that has both the sapphire and the diamond ^.^|||either way you can not lose with whatever you pick|||I would say she is damm happy to get a ring at all including ring-around the collar

Why doesnt Edward want Alice to tell Bella something about the Diamond he gave to her?
I dont understand why Edward hushes Alice in Eclipse page 467 about hte diamond. Which later on Bella discovers why when she is walking with Jacob to the hideout.
I dont understand more specifically dont want to come to a wrong conclusion. Someone help please?|||Heyah =] ..
Basically Bella thought that the gift was a crystal - that it wasnt worth much.
Then Alice began to say something about diamonds and how he "already had one on ...". Then Edward hushed her because she was gonna say "on her".
If she had said it, Bella would know that the crystal was infact a diamond and very expensive and therefore she wouldnt want it from Edward.
Bella only figured out that it was a diamond when Jacob said "A rock - figures".
(To many, people refer to diamonds as rocks.)
I hope this is what you are lookin for!
Lx|||there was a diamond in the charm that he put on her bracelet. yeah that was confusing to me the first time i read it too. He didnt want alice to tell bella either because bella always feels bad when he gives her nice stuff.|||Edward doesn't want Bella to know that it is a very expensive diamond, because he knows that she would refuse it if she knew. She's considerate like that.|||Because as Bella explains to Edward in the beginning of Eclipse she feels like she doesn't deserve him already so when he does nice stuff or her or buys her anything it puts them more out of balance. The only reason she accepted the bracelet was because he convinced her it was just a hand me down and she thought it was crystal. If she had known it was diamond she would've freaked out and refused it. And Edward hushed Alice because she was about to reveal that Edward already had a diamond on her [the bracelet]|||edward didn't tell bella because he knew that she would refuse, for the diamond was realllyyy expensive and is probably worth a lot more now that it's a family heirloom. she would most definitely refuse to wear it. i think bella probably thought she would lose it or something like that if edward actually told her the truth.|||It probably is because it is a heirloom and there are secrets about it.

Does anyone know a trusting and valuable way to sell a diamond ring?
I want to sell a diamond ring but want to get at least close to, or more, than the amount I paid for it but I feel like everyone is out to scam me. Suggestions?|||In order to give you a appropriate answer, you'll have to provide more information.
At a minimum, providing the cut, clarity, carat weight and color will help provide context and what a fair value would be. Also, is your diamond certified?
Did you buy your diamond ring via a wholesaler or via a jewelry store? If you purchased your diamond ring at a jewelry store (i.e. Birks) and had it appraised, you unfortunately may received much less than what you paid. Appraisals are typically done for insurance purposes first and foremost. Typically, the amount of the appraisal will be much higher than the value of the diamond ring if you purchased from a wholesaler and slightly higher than the value you purchased from some place like Birks. For example, say you bought a diamond ring at Birks for $10,000. Purchasing the same diamond ring (less the brand name) would have cost you $5,000. On the value appraisal certificate, your value might be $15,000. Hopefully this will help put your expectations of a fair price in line with how the industry works.
That being said, once you've done your homework on what a reasonable selling point would be, I would recommend selling your ring at auction. It's a reputable means of parting with your jewelry.
Best of luck!

How do I make my pokemon like each other in Pokemon Diamond?
So i just got to the breeding place in Pokemon Diamond, and I put my female Monferno with a male Machop in the Daycare. It says they don't like each other, is there a way for me to make them like each other better? I know my Monferno likes me, but not the Machop. And if they dont get along, can I still get an egg? They're both human-like pokemon.|||I don't think you can. Only two Pokemon of the same type can create an egg, which you've got covered, and then there is a SET LEVEL for their liking each other. Maybe the new system incorporates personality or somethings, but I don't know anything else. Perhaps evolving Machop could help, and his personality could change.|||You Cant but to make eggs they have to be in the right breeding group check at www.serebii.net
|||I dont think you wold get an egg and ditto can breed with manaphy
|||the have to be able to breed. some pokemon cant breed together. u should get a ditto and breed it with any pokemon except legendaries. But as i said some pokemon cant breed and there is no way to make them like each other.

I need to find out how you talk to other people on Pokemon Diamond on the DS. And how do you find a Friend Code on the DS?? I need help with all of it. Can anyone explain the process? Or is there some kind of reference guide.

How to check if a diamond if real or fake?
I found this little piece of diamond the size of 3mm or 4mm at most. How do I know if it is real?|||to be sure, you can either use a diamond tester or go to a local jeweler. They should charge to to test a diamond. it's really simple for them with a tester.
best of luck|||I heard that if you take a big piece of glass and scratch it with it, it should have a pretty good sized cut in the glass.|||try contacting a jeweler, otherwise you can magnify and see if you can't tell yourself.

How can i clean my diamond ring and keep it shinning?|||Simple drop of 鈥榙ove鈥?liquid soap in warm water will do the trick. Can you use a diamond wrap/enhancer as your wedding ring if you have a Solitaire ?
I have a 1 1/2 Carat diamond round solitaire and I'm getting married but instead of the traditional wedding band I want to use the Wrap/Enhancer as my wedding ring. Has anyone done that?|||Yes. I'm doing that. My solitaire just sits into the slide and this will be used as my wedding ring.|||Yes you can. I used to work in retail sales in the Jewelery Department and a local department store in my city and we had regular bands, wraps and enhancer in the showcase. I think that it would be beautiful and a lot of customers would come in looking for the wrap/enhancer to go with their Solitaire ring.|||mine is like that but my engagement ring is a 3 stone setting and i have the ring guard, ( one on each side) with smaller diamonds all across the bands and i love it! I had mine all saughtered together tho, makes it easier to keep them together. My sis in law has a solitaire with the ring guard also and hers is very beautiful as well.|||I wanted to. My ring is the same as yours- 1.5c brilliant solitaire. Unfortunately I found my wedding band and we put it up in July and I didn't know about enhancers until November. I think they're beautiful. I'd definitely do it.|||I didn't use it as my wedding band, but I just added it onto the solitare to make it prettier... then I also had a wedding band. But I think you could probably do that. It just might not have the two ring look.|||yes.....give the engagement ring to the groom sometime before the ceremony so he can slide it into the enhancer and then the entire shebang becomes your wedding ring for him to slip onto your finger...good luck.|||Can definitely be done, and makes a beautiful "new" ring!|||I did.|||NOPE
How much does it cost for Jewellers to produce a diamond ring?
I am wondering, when jewellers sell 1 carrat diamond rings for over 拢4000, what are the profit margins for them? i.e. how much does it cost to produce the ring altogether to justify charging such prices?
Thanks!|||Everything depends on the diamond quality and the setting mold.
If the setting is custom, a mold must be made, tested for strength, etc. Some clauses are that the mold will be/has been destroyed, guaranteeing a unique ring...with the full setup costs to go with it. Even if not unique, there are a lot of costs to be defrayed for the artist, mold maker, manufacturer, etc.
Then comes the carat quality/cut of the diamond. There are a lot of fees to various countries and brokers which must be paid for legitimate natural diamonds to maintain the integrity of the market / value of the stones. This is a finite natural resource.
A good quality man made diamond can only be detected by a jeweller for a lot less money.

What Pokemon appear in Diamond that do not appear in SoulSilver?
Those are the only Pokemon games I have.
I would like to trade the Pokemon in my Diamond game to my SoulSilver game, but just the ones that I have no chance of catching in SoulSilver.

There are no Sinnoh Region (Diamond) Pokemon in the Johto Region (SoulSilver) besides the ones present in all regions because of their popularity like Pikachu. That means most of your favorite Pokemon you can trade over, but in my opinion the Johto pokemon are really cool so you should give them a chance! For a descriptive list of all of the pokemon in each region go to bulbapedia. And don't forget, you have to beat certain gyms for higher level pokemon to obey you so you cant immediately trade ledgendary level 100 pokemon over to your new game and expected to beat it in 5 seconds.

What's the difference between Nintendo DS Pokemon Pearl & Diamond?
From a gamer's perspective, what's the difference between the Pearl and Diamond versions? I have bought the Pearl version for my 8-year-old son, and am wondering if I should buy the other one as well as a gift at a later time. Both seem to be very popular and have very good reviews.|||It's the Pokemon that you can catch. Some Pokemons are exclusive to each version. On the cover of Diamond and Pearl, those 2 Pokemon are just some of the Pokemons that are exclusive to each version.
You can give the person the other version as a gift, but it's kind of pointless unless he has another DS, in which case he can trade Pokemon with himself.|||the difference is this:

What is the name of the star that is a diamond the size of the sun?
I saw on the History chanel that there is a star the size of the sun that is a diamond, and that it is approximately 100 trillion karats. Any one else heard of it?|||There is no such star!
White dwarfs are composed of carbon and have a somewhat crystalline structure because of electron degeneracy (the closest you can get the electrons together is an ordered structure). But white dwarfs are closer to the size of the Earth, and I'm not sure you can really call it a diamond.
see: http://www.sciencedaily.com/releases/200鈥?/a>
for a news report on the object I suspect you are talking about. But it is smaller than Earth. The name of this particular star is V 8CEN
but it is suspected that many white dwarfs have this structure.|||now there's a real giggle.... some are calling it 'Lucy' as in "Lucy in the Sky with Diamonds" from way back when.....
if it's a diamond, no matter what size, it's not shining like a star and would be invisible.....(not what the website says)
trillions, in diamond lingo, is a cut given to make a lot of sparkles.....
the History Channel is not known to have 'truth' as it's upper consideration...........don't buy into everything you see there.....
thank you... I stand corrected.... but it's going to take some real 'vision' for me to buy this one..... diamond 'snow'?... inside/as part of a star?.... diamonds burn in high heat here.... so I'm pretty confused.....|||It's actually quite a bit bigger than that.
What color flowergirl dress should I get. My gown is Diamond White by Cassablanca? ?
Is there a particular brand flowergirl dress that would match nicely with diamond white? I don't want my dress to look yellow.|||Pink is always wonderful, and the color matches perfectly :) It will be beautiful :) Congratulations!!! :)|||maybe pink or sky blue.|||Honestly, no matter what color you pick, your dress will not look yellow. Looking at the Diamond White collection, it is a true white. That means your options are limitless. Depending on the season you're getting married in, for Winter, try darker tones such as red, green, or navy blue; for Spring/Summer season, try lighter tones such as periwinkle, light pink, cornflower blue, etc., and for Fall, try browns, or any neutral tone. I think I might be making bridesmaid dress color suggestions, because I didn't have a flower girl in my wedding. If you want her dress to mimic yours, your best bet is to have her wear the same material. It might be possible that Casablanca makes flower girl dresses as well. Good luck, and congratulations.|||CONGRATULATIONS!!!
Have red.. Its Christmas and red and white are the Christmas colours....my daughter had this colour theme when she was married as it was on 16th Dec two years ago. How do u play pokemon Revolution for Wii with pokemon diamond or pearl for Ds?
Please tell me how can you play Pokemon Revolution for wii with Pokemon diamond and pearl for ds.
Please or give me a link i have pokemon diamond and pearl but i wanna know when i get the pokemon revolution how can you play pokemon diamond and pearl for ds for wii with pokemon revolution.|||Okay the way it works is: On battle revolution you play with rental pokemon or a team sent in through your diamond or pearl via wireless communication. It is similar to pokemon stadium for the N64 if you have ever played that.
When you win battles and challenges you will be able to receive rare items, berries, and POKEMON (like pikachu with volt tackle) that you can send over to your game and battle with, train, and then use them on revolution. It is a pretty fun game once you get a good team together.|||the best thing to do is just play with the wiimote until you know what to do
if you have a linksys, you can go on 192.168.2.1 or 192.168.0.1 then just type in admin as username and press submit, this doesnt always work so enter the pass and user for the administrator. u can figure out the rest. :)
|||Pokemon Battle Revolution connects to your Diamond or Pearl game and makes a copy of all of your pokemon to put onto the game. With custom pokemon available, you get a custom pass to use when battling. I'm ordering mine right now, can't wait to kick my friends asses in Wii Sports :)

Can I wear a diamond ring even if I am not engaged or married?
So I want to buy a really nice diamond ring and wear it on my ring finger (I don't know I just don't like wearing it on any other finger). Is that too odd because I don't want people to think I am engaged or something?|||I don't think its odd! I was the same way when I use to buy jewlery for myself! I loved wearing it on my ring finger, it always just looked nicer! lol
The only bad thing about it is guys will think you're married or engaged, and that can be a good thing if you're not looking to be bothered.
I'm engaged now so I don't care! But I suggest that you wear that ring on your ring finger when you're out and about and not really looking to meet guys, but when you're out doing your thing keep it at home so you can meet a really great wonderful man!
Good luck!|||Yes, just don't wear it on your left ring finger.|||Yes. Wear it on a different finger, unless you want to keep off unwanted guys of course XD|||Can't you just switch hands but still use the ring finger?|||of course, you can wear it just like wearing other rings.|||Not sure what finger you want to wear it on but if it's your ring finger on your left hand they don't expect to get asked out. Dudes are going to think your engaged or married.|||Bling! You can wear any ring on any finger. Who cares what other people think. Some people will wear a diamond ring on their left hand to keep guys away, but sometime guys are more interested with a ring on. Strange, but true. Do what you like!|||if you saw a young lady with a pretty smick diamond ring on her ring finger, what would you think??
but i reckon its kool, if its most comfortable on that finger, just do it and dont care what it may or may not look like|||Of course it's ok. Independence, woman! I would do that.|||I wouldn't wear it on my ring finger.
People might think you engaged and some believe it is bad luck to wear it there before you are engaged/married.

What is the orange dot on your map in pokemon diamond?
On my map in pokemon diamond, their is an orange dot on my screen that keeps blinking when i open my map. What is it? Also, if this helps, I beat the E4, and have the national dex.|||It nothing important it just show you where you have recently have gone. It does not do nothing much
Hope this helped

How do I trade Pokemon from other games into my Diamond game?
Can someone tell me how I transfer Pokemon over from my LeafGreen over to my Diamond? I haven't done it in a while and can't remember how. Someone help please!|||First you insert your gameboy game into the socket. The game menu will then display an option to transfer Pokemon.|||You have the option to do so when you first turn on your game. Choose the pokes you want to import, then play the catching game in pal park. You can do this once ever 24 hours.|||The Pal Park is located on Route 221, If you surf south and east from Sandgem Town. You need to have the 'National Pokedex' to get in. Upon entering the park the attendant will give you 6 Park balls, that have a 100% capture rate. And, you only receive the transferred pokemon after catching all 6 of them. Hope that helped you. =).|||put game in gba slot|||Once you unlock the National Pokedex for seeing/capturing all 150 Pokemon native to the Sinnoh region, go to Professor Rowan's lab, where Professor Oak (think back to Red/Blue version, or the recent Fire Red/Leaf Green remakes that you have) shows up and upgrades your Pokedex. He tells you about the Pal Park, a new "minigame" that has now opened at the end of route 221 (South of Sandgem Town). When you go there, save your game and turn it off. Keep your Pokemon Diamond cartridge in the DS and put your Leaf Green into the Game Boy Advance slot. When you start your DS up, it might be helpful to choose to play your Leaf Green first to make sure the Pokemon you want to transfer don't know any HM moves (even if they still exist in Diamond/Pearl, like Surf) because you cannot transfer any Pokemon that knows a HM move (don't ask me why). While you're playing Leaf Green, it's also beneficial to give the Pokemon you're importing a Master Ball or another useful item to hold, because they will retain them as they make the jump from game to game. Once you're all ready, put all 6 Pokemon to be transferred into your PC box. Save, and turn off your DS. Turn it back on, and select your Diamond game. After you press start at the title screen, Underneath your file will be another box that says "Import from Leaf Green" (it changes to Sapphire, Ruby, Fire Red, or Emerald, depending on which games you have). Select that box, choose the 6 Pokemon you want, and it will transfer them into your Diamond cartridge! You're not done yet, though. Once the process finishes, load up your save file again and talk to the man at the counter in the Pal Park. He will ask you if you want to partake in a "Catching Show", and you should select "Yes". Before you do, however, make sure you bring a Pokemon that knows Surf in case you're importing any Pokemon that are housed in either the lake or the ocean sections. Once you start the game, run around in the wild grass and Surf on the water to find your Pokemon from Leaf Green! You can throw one of your 6 alotted "Park Balls" which have a 100% catch rate to recapture your Pokemon. When you capture all 6, you will be told your "Catching Score" and your Pokemon will be put into PC boxes. This works in both the Diamond and Pearl versions with any of the Game Boy Advance games. You can only import 6 Pokemon from any game pack ever 24 hours.|||Catch 6 pokes u want to transfer from leafgreen to diamond and put them in the PC. Turn on Diamond and find the option that says migrate from leafgreen. Click that and it will let you decide. Then go to Pal Park and they should be ready.|||When you finish the game and have seen all 150 pokemon in the region, go chat to proffesor whats his name and get a Pal Park pass. Then when you start up the game and yo can choose new game, continue and all that, you will be able to choose migrate from "Leaf Green", you then choose 6 pokemon to send to pal park. You then go to pal park and have to then catch the pokemon you migrated over.

How to make fake diamond earrings look real?
I have these really cute fake diamond earrings, but they look too fake. How do you make them look more real?|||I don't know how to make those particular earrings look real, but I have found that when buying diamond simulants, it's best to get them in a gold (white or yellow) setting. This kind of makes it hard to tell if it is or isn't real.|||Why do they look so obviously fake? Are they large and gaudy? Maybe you should wear smaller fake diamonds, as real ones are usually smaller and don't shout for attention. To make them really sparkle, soak them in a solution of water to which has been added a few drops of dish detergent and ammonia. Some fake gemstones can really fool people if they are of a discreetly smaller size.|||Keep them very clean and windex or ammonia will help do that.

When considering buying a diamond, what do you consider to be important?
whats more important. Cut, clarity or the colour. I know the carat is important, but there is no point in having a big diamond if its got lots of inclusions and is a yello colour. What do you think is important to look for?|||CUT
It is definitely the cut because if it is cut properly it will enhance the colour and the clarity of the rock.
There are 3 types of cuts.
1. Well cut- the most brilliant
2. Deep cut
3. Shallow cut
If the diamond is cut too deep(Nail head) or cut too shallow(Fish eye), the brilliance will be less.
The cut could also be classified according to the shape of the diamond.
Heart, Princess, Oval, Round brilliant, Marquise, Baguette, Emerald %26amp; Pear.
So, first consider the CUT....It is the most important out of the 4 Cs.....And the 5th C as well...COST!! :)hehe..
Cheers!|||clarity and color, there are some diamonds with color, but some say they are not as pretty as the clear (white) diamond, i think its preference when it comes to color., and yes, there are yellow diamonds as well as rose colored. clarity means there are no scratches or chips or discolor within the diamond. the most important thing to me is, making sure you get what you pay for, clear cut white diamond without scratches or other colors in it. talk to the jeweler, he can tell you more about it when you're out there shopping.. shop around and compare stores before you make a decision. good luck.|||It really depends on the buyer's preference. Difference between a real diamond and a fake one ?
I found a diamond and went home to compare it with a real one that I have.
I can't tell the difference between them. The one I found is dull looking compared to the one I have.
How can you tell the difference between a real one and a fake/glass one?|||take it to a jewelry shop and theyll know|||If it's real, you can find out its stats by getting a grading report - that will tell you the 4Cs - carat, cut, clarity, and color - and is necessary if you'd want to sell it. The best place to do that is GIA - diamonds with GIA grades are sometimes more valuable b/c the certification is solid.
|||Look through the Diamond: In case the diamond is the form of change or not mounted, upturn it and place it on a piece of newspaper. If reading is possible through the stone or even you can see vague black marks, then it is possibly not a diamond. To check a mounted diamond, see from above if you can see the bottom. If you can see, then too, it is a fake diamond.
Observe the Reflections: Various shades of grey are often visible in reflection of a real diamond. In case you find rainbow reflections, you鈥檙e either handling a low-quality diamond or a fake.
Take The Side View: Usuallyfake diamonds are made to sparkle at the top, but check it from a side angle as to how it shines and reflects. Real diamonds are as reflective as all around, while fake diamonds appears dull when observed from the side.
Fog the Stone: Bring the stone close to your mouth and breathe over it. In case the stone remains 鈥榝oggy鈥?for 2-4 seconds, then it is certainly fake. Real diamonds get clear by the time you take a look.
Drop the Stone in Water: Many fake diamonds are studded with real diamond cap but actually they have got false base. By dropping the stone in water, it would be easier to see a joint if there is any.
Weigh The Stone: The cap cubic zirconia weighs about 55% in excess of diamonds having same shape and size. Make use of a carat or gram scale so as to evaluate the stone as compared to a real diamond.
Check the Setting and Mount: Real diamonds are not possibly set in cheap metals. Present inside the setting, stamps indicate real gold or platinum, like 14K, 18K, 585, 950, PT, Plat etc, are good to deal with. While a stamp, like C.Z., confirms that it is a fake stone.
Place the Stone under UV Light: A real diamond usually reflects blue fluorescence under an ultra violet or black light, though this rule doesn鈥檛 apply to all diamonds. The occurrence of a medium to strong blue verifies that the stone is real. However, the nonexistence of blue doesn鈥檛 suggest the stone is counterfeit; probably it a better quality diamond. Appearance of colors, like green, yellow or gray fluorescence, could be from a Moissanite.
Test the Stone with Heat: Without harming the stone, this is a simple way to test the stone. Since real stones disperse heat rapidly, they don鈥檛 heat up even at test. Takes about 30 seconds, this test is generally done free of charge at jewelry shops.|||A fake diamond? Do you mean a synthetic or artificiall-made diamond? I found some cool article son synthetic diamonds at this website:
http://www.diamondpriceguide.com/
Check it out and hope it helps!:)|||The best way to check if you really want to know is to take this to an experienced jeweler. If it is large enough, it may be worth taking to an independent appraiser to determine the true value of the diamond you found.

Where can I find a man made diamond engagement ring?
I am getting engaged and have ethical/moral objections to buying a mined diamond. I know that there are man made (cultured)diamonds but I can't seem to find a store that sells them. Any one know where I should look?|||Here is the thing. A few companies make ACTUAL man made diamonds, not the imitations that are everywhere. A company that is extremely popular with custom jewelry stores is Chatham. This company makes mostly colored diamonds, pink, canary, and blue. Here's why: it is prohibitively expensive to make white diamonds since the ingredients have to be so pure. The canary diamonds are a pretty yellow though, and can be made quite large. They are close in price to a mined diamond too. To find a person who deals in Chatham "Created" Diamonds, go to their website and use the store locator.
If you don't want a colored diamond buy a created white sapphire instead. No ethical problems and they are strong enough to be used in an engagement ring. They look similar to a diamond too.

I know (at least I think) that there are only two things that can cut diamond: other diamonds and lasers. How can i clean my diamond ring and keep it shinning?
i've about 4 diamonds rings, and i bought them from differents countries. 1 ring with 3 stones of diamond from Cambodia, 1 ring with 3 stones from Thailand and the other 2 rings from Africa. so my problem is the diamond rings i bought from Cambodia and the sixe is 5.1cm not really shinning i mean after 2 or 3days after clean! and the other 1 i bought from Thailand the size is 3.5cm always keep shinning all the time. so can you guy tell me how to clean my diamond ring as well?|||Cleaning your jewelry is really pretty simple. The best way to clean your jewelry is by soaking it in warm water with a mild liquid detergent or soap. After letting your jewelry soak for three or four minutes rinse it off under running water (make sure the drain is closed), and then pat it dry with a soft lint free cloth or paper towel. You should clean your jewelry often to avoid having to take it to a jeweler for costly and harmful cleaning methods.
There are many home remedies and old wives tales dealing with how to clean jewelry. Most of these not only do not work, but also can be extremely harmful to your jewelry. Some examples of these include:
Toothpaste: One of the most common home remedies for cleaning jewelry is using toothpaste. You should absolutely never use toothpaste to clean your jewelry! Toothpaste is abrasive. While this is a good thing for cleaning plaque off your teeth, it will scratch gold and softer gems.
Boiling water: Many people believe that boiling jewelry in water is a good way to clean it. In fact boiling is one of the easiest ways to destroy fine jewelry. Boiling your jewelry can crack or discolor gemstones, even diamonds.
Ammonia: Ammonia is okay to use on diamonds, rubies, and sapphires, but will damage other gemstones. Ammonia should only be used on unfilled diamonds. Fracture filled diamonds should never be cleaned in acidic solutions or ammonia.
Professional polishing solutions: Professional polishing solutions have a mild abrasive in them. This abrasive will make your gold jewelry shine, but it will also scratch the gold.
Cleaning your jewelry often will make it sparkle and shine. Diamonds especially should be cleaned regularly, as they naturally attract grease. A clean flawed diamond can look ten times better than a dirty flawless one.|||You can use a small kitchen strainer such as a tea strainer to contain them while rinsing under warm water.

Hand lotions, hair styling products and everyday grime all leave enough of a film on your diamond ring to keep it from looking its best. And if you wait too long between cleanings, those materials can accumulate into a thick layer of gunk on the back of your diamond, blocking light and making the diamond appear dull and lifeless.
Diamonds are the hardest substance known, but that doesn't mean we can bring them back to life with any old cleanser. Coatings and other materials used to enhance diamonds can sometimes be removed by harsh chemicals or vigorous scrubbing, so take care when it's time to make your diamond ring sparkle.
Gentle %26amp; Effective Ways to Clean Diamond Rings:-
1.Soak your diamond ring in a warm solution of mild liquid detergent and water.Ivory dishwashing liquid is a good choice, but any other mild detergent is fine.
2.Use a soft brush if necessary to remove dirt. Soft is the key -- don't use a brush with bristles that are stiff enough to scratch the ring's metal setting.
3.Swish the ring around in the solution, and then rinse it thoroughly in warm water. Close the drain first, or put the ring in a strainer to keep from losing it!
4.Dry the diamond ring with a lint-free cloth.

Are there any diamond engagement ring alternatives?
My Girlfriend is opposed to diamonds, particularly the ones that come from Africa. Are there any alternatives to a Diamond Engagement Ring? I have searched on the internet and all that I can find is cubic zirconia, and the like. I don't like fake diamonds. I want something real, and priceless. Any Ideas?|||I would think about getting her the "birthstone" of the month you either started to date or of another important date to the two of you. THat would mean something to her and to you but go along with her wishes of not wanting a diamond and you not wanting something fake. Or you could look for a pearl. It is very simple, beautiful, and traditional. Look around on the internet for shops close to the both of you. Then randomly ask her one day if she would like to go jewerly shopping (like a rainy day event!) That way you can see what she likes and what catches both of your eyes, maybe once you get her out and looking she will decide she does like diamonds... Get her loved ones in on this! Can you cut a diamond into a prism that would make light into a rainbow?
I'm writing a story and I wanted to know if it's possible to cut a diamond into a prism that would make a rainbow.|||Yes, in fact jewelers do it every day. Next time you're at a jeweler take a classic cut diamond (the most common kind of cut) and take a look at it in the light, moving it back and forth. You'll see all different colors of the rainbow flashing from the stone. This is because the cut is designed to provide a prismatic difusion of light effect and is part of the reason diamonds are so popular in the first place.|||Yes you could do that. It would work just like a glass prism, except a lot more expensive.
